The visual idea is to bring attention to the elements that "speak" to the user. When interacting with a voice interface, the visual feedback of the components is extremely important. Small animations and the use of bright colours brings the attention to these elements.
Aside from giving speaking feedback, the use of moving waves also helps bringing the concept of an interface that easily flows effortlessly.
